CM10 Official nightlies are finally here!  These are fully supported versions by the CyanogenMod Team, and brings even more buttery smooth jelly beans to your HTC One X and AT&T One X/One XL!

Let me point out that HTC One X is also the unofficial next-generation Nexus product from HTC following the original Nexus One.  CyanogenMod ROM was one of the first ROMs available on Nexus One, and surely it’s one of the best ROMs for your HTC One X.

I do like the newer nightlies that have been out as of recent, seems even more smoother than previous ported versions I’ve tried.

Definitely, give these new official CM10s a go, they are definitely gonna change your life!

  1. Dan says:

I love it! Can’t wait for the 2.20 root so I can love me some beanz. Keep up the good work man!

  2. Is there a downloadable file that’s compatible with Mac. The link says I need Windows.

  3. Alan says:

I want to know if all the camera and things are working on this rom??

I hear from the above video that there may be still some bugs here and there…. but as far as the important apps / hardware is concerned, are they all working??

    • Davor says:

Same question. Is there any problems with some apps with this JB ROM?

    • parker says:

the camera is working but its the jellybean camera not the sense one and yes for the most part everything works very well

    • Mauricio says:

Actually everything important pretty much works, here is what does not work, Google weather location and Weather GPS(not the GPS itself) only work on some apps, I have to manually tell my Googler weather apps what city I’m in, in order to get a result. The camera works but it’s not quite as sharp as the Sense 4 camera, the Sense 4 camera is by far better in options as well. Facebook, PULSE, and Chrome ALWAYS show some kind of weird Text and Image breaking, the best way to describe it is that parts of images and text show up in the wrong places on their pages. Face book does it the worst, plus after 8-9 facebook feed posts, it just stops showing any images at all and you can no longer scroll down further to see anymore posts… Google Play has some weird bug that when you try a scroll a App’s sample images, the images will scroll in the wrong direction… just weird.

Other than that, I haven’t had any force closes, or nothing that severe yet

  4. Primus says:

    Hey Max

am running an alpha 11 build as talked about in your other video. is there any difference functionality or feel-wise from that one? cause i am loving what i am on and it has insane smoothness. is this really better?

    thanks buddy

  5. Ayangko says:

    Hey,

I’m currently on the ViperX rom and having no troubles as of late but I’m soooo tempted to use this one. However, just one question before I do, is the Sense gone in this rom? I pretty much like Sense so I got HTC. Let me know please. Thank you.

  6. tonyuk73 says:

Thanks for the info. Running venom 2.6.0 at the mo, but going to try this today will let you know how it goes. Just hope The power Drain issue is sorted ;-)

  7. André Smits says:

Wow, max. i have installed this rom and seems to be really fast.
Looks good to me! The next days i’m going to check out the new issues

Thanks so far, and also for your clear instructions.

    André

  8. Sam says:

Gday, ive jsut done this flash and when i boot to load up for the first time it wont load past the ‘CyanogenMod’ Screen. Any ideas?? Please Help…

  9. Rob says:

when im installing the file. the installation got aborted. any ideas?

    thnx

    • Rob says:

this is what appears on the screen:

      assert failed: getprop(“ro.product.device”) == ”
      endeavoru” || getprop (“ro.builldlproduct”) == “en
      deavoru”
      E: Error in /sdcard/…..
      (status 7)
      installation aborted.

this happens every time when im trying to install a new ROM

im now using the MAXIMUS ROM

      can someone help me?

      Thnx

      • bubbles says:

Did you do a full wipe before flashing rom?

      • Rob says:

I used TWRP for recovery and that worked!

      • Mauricio says:

I got something similar, for whatever reason your SD-Card has been corrupted. Try mounting your sd-card with TWRP to your computer(via USB of course). When it tries to mount it, Windows(if you have Windows) will tell you that the USB Drive you just plugged in needs to be formatted before it can be used…. Yes you have lost all your stuff… Choose all the default formatting settings. Once it’s done formatting, you should now have access to your sd-card from recover in TWRP

        That fixed it for me

  10. Jesus Rodriguez says:

I have it for a couple of hours and so far there’s a huge concern I can’t go around. The three original buttons for the One X AT&T remain with their functionality, though I don’t have the menu button. How can I get it. There are tons of things I can’t set up. Any clue on how to sort it out?

  11. tonyuk73 says:

max just a long shot question for you, when we have to open cmd in windows and type in “fastboot flash boot boot.img”
is there any way to do this from a terminal from another android divice conected via usb such as a ” xoom ” tablet.
if not, for sure would be cool idea…

  12. mohammed says:

Can this be used for One XL International? Also I am still not able root my device. Could you please assist me to root One XL international? My current software version Android 4.0.4/HTC Sense 4.0/Software Version 2.23.707.2

    Thank you in advance
    Mohammed

    • Monkboy24 says:

The international version is not called the One XL! its just One X! The AT&T and all north american versions are call One XL! just you know!

  13. Monkboy24 says:

hey max i like the way you just skipped pass the fact weather the camera works or not! camera function is a very important feature and should be pointed out so we can know before hand if it works or not!! Thanks!

  14. Noam says:

when im trying to install the rom, the installation isnt even starting. i see just an update running and after that i do reboot the phone shows the HTC’s logo stock. is this an update? is the zip file needs to be 169mb?

  15. Monkboy24 says:

???? is your phone rooted? you should know which one you have because part of rooting is installing a custom recovery!

  16. Monkboy24 says:

Omg this rom f**king rocks!!!! and yes the camera works!!!

  17. Oskar says:

Messaging app crashes and reboots my phone.
I’m new to CyanogenMod, but I guess this is caused by me trying to recover messages+contacts with Titanium Backup from my OrDroidX Htc Sense rom? I really liked CM because of the speed, but as of now I cannot send or even open the messaging app and kind of kills the Rom itself for me.
If it’s any help I’m using an international Htc One X.
Keep uploading awesome vids Max, I appreciate help from anyone with my issue!

  18. Davor says:

What about battery life on this new ROM. Improved?

    • monkboy24 says:

Battery life is pretty good so far but at the same I use setcpu to create profiles to lower my CPU speeds at screen off and call state and this works great for me!

      • Davor says:

I just got my hox few weeks ago and I run stock. Will i see battery improvement when I switch on this rom?

        • monkboy24 says:

Give it a try and find out! Do a backup so you can switch back if you don’t like it

          • Davor says:

I’ve installed it and ROM is awsome but battery is going down pretty quckly so i serched for setcpu and i find one for 2 $. Since i dont have any accound witch i can buy it is there any good free similar program you can recommend?

  19. xblast says:

Is it possible to flash this rom with CWM, or is TWRP is the only way?

  20. xblast says:

Is there a camera app which takes pictures with a 16:9 ratio? It seems like the default camera app takes 4:3 ratios.

  21. John says:

I’ve been running this ROM for a few days and so far it seems very smooth. Camera and everything else is working fine. You will need to go through all the options and set up to your taste in order to see improved battery life, etc.

  22. monkboy24 says:

I’m about to try out the 9/24 release of this ROM!

  23. Davor says:

I installed it but it stucks on loading showing CyanogenMod in circle. Any idea??

  24. xblast says:

How do you flash the boot.img? what program is used to do this?

  25. nogoosad13 says:

I’m having a problem with the gps, i have all the gps settings checked but google now says I still need to turn on my GPS along with google maps! Any ideas? i love the rom but it’s a little frustrating

    Thanks!

  26. Sid says:

Hi… I have installed this ROM. But it has neither the themes or the button configs(long pressing original recent apps button does not open anything). It looks exactly like the alpha 9 build i had earlier though I ve not used it long enough to see if the battery life has improved. Can u please tell me whats going on???

  27. veselko says:

i put this rom yesterday and my battery life is terrible, compare to stock rom it’s draining 50% faster…
no games, just surfing, messaging, facebook, 5 min calls… can someone tell me maybe can i fix it with a new kernel or??? thank you

  28. mbrew says:

Installed 2 days ago. Replaced it last night with Revolution HD.
CM: Batterylive it teriible: 4hrs; no games, just mobile data, a few min calls
Keypad lacks long press shift characters
    keys too small
    spontanious reboots
Not ready for primetime, sorry guys.

  29. mike says:

hey ! guys, who tested this Rom long enough? how is the battery life? that s the main issue that i care about

    • Sid says:

      Hey,
Battery life is okay but not even close to renovate ROM I was using prior to this. But I clocked down the processor speed to 880mhz( I don’t know if it’s okay to do that) . I figured how to change themes too… Downloaded a few for free and It looks amazing… Another thing I noticed was that it takes really long for the phone to get charged… The RENOVATE ROM that I was using earlier had an option to use only a single core… This surely made the battery last a lot longer especially while playing games… But it was ICS based ROM. My battery has dropped 3 points since I started typing, which I think is an improvement…

  30. Davor says:

battery life is pretty bad but you can use CPUmaster and battery saver from play store. this will improve battery life. But if you are serching for ROM with awsome battery you knocked on the wrong door.

  31. Oskar says:

Installed the 29/9 CM10 nightly today and it works like a charm! Only things I wasnt able to back up was some applications and my contacts. No crashes so far.

  32. Andy says:

Is there anyway to uninstall this rom? I can’t seem to install other roms after installing this rom. And forgot to back up stock..

  33. Innis says:

Is there a way to downgrade from CM10 to one of the ICS roms?

  34. MightyMike says:

i tryied this rom for couple of days, no crashes but low battery life….the best rom untill now i’ve tryied is ViperX…it has also an option to completely remove sense, great battery life, very stable and a different look from stock rom’s…also android revolution hd is very stable and great battery life

  35. Bizzle Jack says:

i installed the rom and its awesome , one problem tho is that it making a google voice search everytime. Its reading my emails out loud , my facebook app also and the browser too. Basically voicing every action i do. how do i turn it off cos its annoying

  36. Bdon says:

    Hi there,

Installed the latest nightly build as of OCT-01 on my OneX here in Dubai. I’ve faced two issues after about 3 hours of use.

    a. I store all my contacts in Microsoft Outlook and used to use Exchange ActiveSync to sync to my phone when it was stock – (I would sync email, calendar and contacts – like any other corporate user). With the CM10 ROM, I’m not able to get my Outlook Contacts to come in through the sync….

    b. Battery Life could use a huge improvement ….. Any clue if the CM team plans to fix this as I belive it’s a common issue… but everyone seems to just be wowed by the performance……

    • Max says:

      a. If you need Outlook and ActiveSync support, you do need to use a Sense-based ROM (there might be an app to get around it though).
      b. You can try underclocking a bit for more battery life, should be getting better in the long run though.

  37. Davor says:

how can I chech for updates for this rom?
I’ve seen that option in rom manager but i need to upgraded it to premium for that. Any other way for that?

  38. Jay says:

Does camera have slow motion feature?

  39. Davor says:

Thank you Max. I’ve done it. Not its 4.1.2. ;)

  40. Louis says:

    Hi guys,

Recently i installed a rom, it call paranoid android v2.16
not sure is from cm10 or based on cm10. But is awesome ;D

    Cheer!
    Louis

  41. Davor says:

I’ve went to get.cm. and I updated latest endeavoru cm10 for my hox and I feel battery immprovment. Try it out.

  42. Bilal says:

Can I install this ROM over the CWM recovery?

    Thanks

    • Davor says:

Yep. Make sure you did backup previus ROM. Just in case.

      • Bilal says:

        Thanks Davor.

I already did a backup and stored it on the internal sdcard. So, the recovery is independent of the ROM, right?

Question, with the new ROM, I will loose all apps already installed, right?

        Thanks

        • Davor says:

Yep you can Flash any Rom you want from recovery.
And for the apps it will automaticly sync in play store and it will start downloading as soon as you opet playstore.

          • Bilal says:

Downloads back all apps on its own? That’s new for me.

            • Davor says:

yea its your google account if you have it and make sure that sync is set to automatic. it will import you contacts aswel if you did use google acount on your device

              • Bilal says:

                Much appreciated.
                Thanks

              • Bilal says:

                Hi Davour,

I noticed after installing CM10, all apps were gone, I had to install them one by one from the Play, is that usual behavior? Now I backed up everything using Titanium.

I am running out of battery so fast, any hints on how I could manage battery life in a better way to last more?

                Thanks

                • Davor says:

About that app restore. Just open your play store and hook up you previus account and it will automaticly start downloading all apps you previusly had.
About battery. Go to play store and download Antutu cpu master and underclock your cpu to whatever you want (mine is set on 880mhz) and also download antutu battery saver and maximize it by pressing + in that app. and make sure that these two programs is runed all the time. never shut them down. and you will feel battery life improved.
(alos grant them superuser permmmision on popup)

                  • Bilal says:

Well, I hooked up my account and nothing was installed. No idea why.

Thanks for the battery & cpu apps, i will try them now :)

                    Regards

                    • Bilal says:

CPU app, I put “MAX” to 880 and “MIN” to 51? Shall I click “Set on boot”?

As for the battery, I put it MAX.

They should be running now right? Do I need to do any additional thing to make sure they are always running?

                      Thanks a lot

                    • Davor says:

No thats pretty much it. just dont remive them recent appa when you hold down home button.
and about apps go settings/accounts/google and make sure that there are checks on all options.
                      I hope that helps

                    • Davor says:

correction: just dont remove the cpu master and battery saver from recent apps when you press and hold home button.

  43. Bilal says:

after installing this ROM, I noticed all my apps were gone. I already backup my phone with Google.

How to get back all my apps?

    Thanks

    • Max says:

Use titanium backup app to backup your apps. If you made a backup ROM, restore ROM and do that.

      • Bilal says:

Thanks Max. I had a previous ROM, but I installed the new ROM CM10. Shall I restore the old ROM? I would loose CM10.

I used Titanium actually. I noticed when I backup apps and store the backup on sdcard, when doing factory reset, those backups wont be deleted, which is great.

        Thanks

  44. Davor says:

I have a weird problem. I’ve downloaded antutu batery saver and antutu cpu master free. So i underclock my cpu to 880mhz and for a month it worked fine and now cpu from time to time underclocks itself to 475mhz and then i have to clock it back to 880. Its getting annoing. Any idea? btw i did update the last cm form get.cm.

  45. kenneth says:

Hi guys, need some help urgently. Just installed CM10 but my phone just keeps rebooting and rebooting, i can off it or go into fastboot or anything. Please help

    • Branden Carrick says:

Power it down, right after you hit the power button to turn it back on, press and hold volume down until you get the recovery menu

  46. Davor says:

I’ve updated my hox to latest nightly today and i have a sound problem. My device dosent ring when I recive calls, but when reciveng mails and all other stuff it ringa normally. Any idea. And yes i try to change ringgrone and profiles and try rebooting and all that came up on my mind.

  50. Chia says:

I had the issue that i cant find the setting in my downloaded apps? Any ways to solve this problem?

  51. badanski says:

hi max. . where can i get the update of this ROM? just in case

    • Sonya says:

If you have bootmanager or goog.im you will find the latest updates. But I would avoid anything beyond Dec 14th. They are buggy. I tried downloading Dec 16th update and it wasn’t even complete.

  52. bpodnar says:

Can I flash official ICS RUU 2.17 if my HBOOT is updated to version 1.31? I flashed JellyBean Maximus ROM and got HBOOT updated on 1.31. Now I’m back on stock ICS flashed from nandroid backup but want to know is it possible to flash official RUU if my device for example gets bricked or something?

  53. Donovan Kronquist says:

Is there a current list of roms that are compatible with the AT&T Htc One X ?

  54. victor limon says:

im on the at&t one x and did all the steps and its stuck in cmd logo to boot up. how long does it usually take?

  55. Remri says:

I have been trying to flash CM10 to my AT&T HTC One X for the last several days (3 to be exact). I continue to get stuck at the Cyanogen Mod loading screen with the rotating loading thingy…yeah thingy. Anyway, it seems that after trying multiple ROMS i just continue to get stuck at the loading screen for all of them. I’ve used the .exe you provided to make my phone back to stock and relock the bootloader since then just so i could use my phone. I recently got curious…again and am now stuck…again, at the Cyanogen Mod loading screen. I am on hboot 1.14 if that helps. Any help from anybody would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys. Also, i am currently flashing the boot.img via fastboot and then flashing the rom via TWRP. I’ll be sure to let you all know if it works.

  56. Remri says:

Woohoo!!! Flashing the boot.img via fastboot worked!!!
    Jellybean ftw!

  57. Gert says:

I installed CM10 but my One X just keeps rebooting.
On this way i can’t put another rom on the internel SD card of my phone.

How can I try another ROM?

    • james says:

Go into cwm recovery and mount sd card to your computer, shuv another rom on the root of the sd card. make sure you wipe your cashe and dalvik. then flash it again! oh and did you make sure you extracted the boot.img file first to flash before flash the rom. try it again, you never know it may work this time.

  58. Martin says:

Wow I’m loving this rom! First time doing this and it all worked thanks to your help videos!!! Just one question – is there any other way of changing the sms service centre number without pressing *#*#4636#*#*? Because the option to change the service centre is not available on message settings. Is there a available patch or something to rectify this or will I have to keep doing the keypad method?

    • Sonya says:

Try to wipe then flash again. Hold onto power button with down volume. then when the phone turns off, lift the power button but keep pressing the down volume. Do a wipe and it will reboot back to evita.

  59. Aaron S. says:

i hv done everythg from the guide video, but y am i still stuck on the start up screen?

    • Aaron S. says:

help =(( cant do anythg now~~

    • Sk says:

      Follow these steps.

      reboot to bootloader
      fastboot flash boot boot.img
      reboot to recovery
      wipe dalvik and cache
factory reset ( must if coming from non CM10 roms)
install cm10 (same nightly as the boot.img you flashed in fastboot)
install 10/11 gapps (11/30 gapps are not compatible with CM10 until it goes to jellybean 4.2)
wipe dalvik and cache (although many people say this isn’t necessary here)
      reboot

    • Aaron S. says:

stupid CM10 doesnt work on my phone!

  60. David C says:

My phone stuck at startup screen like Aaron problem too! But mine was because of my own mistake. I mean, I managed to install the CM10 Official Jelly Bean ROM into my One X but turns out I don’t like it. When I tried to go back using my backup in clockworkmod, that’s when my phone started to stuck at the stratup screen after the reboot. Been trying to restore factory settings but the problem still the same. Now I can’t even use the Clockworkmod anymore. It only shows the big red triangle when I choose the recovery option. Help me!!

  61. Bryan says:

i just installed this rom and the wifi is not turning on how can i fix this please help!

  62. Biyi Manuel says:

I just installed CM 10, wipe, fastboot boot.img reboot but my phone is stuck in cyanogen mode. Unfortunately for me, I did not back up my previous OS av tried d process over and over again all d same. Pls bail me out am really paralyse cos I just got d phone. PLEASE!!!! Any idea on what to do again?. Please am begging

  63. Shashank says:

I just installed the CM10 nightly and followed all the steps as said in the video. I flashed the rom as well using the boot.img. EVerything is fine. No crashes at all. Works buttery smooth. I have a couple of issues.
    1. Camera is not working. It says there is no SD card installed.
    2. When i connect the phone to the system using the cable, the system is not detecting the phone.

With this i’m unable to load a new ROM onto the SD card. When i go into recovery mode, I’m unable to mount as USB storage to copy a new ROM zip file onto the SD card.

Will wiping the ROM give me access to mount as USB drive from Recovery mode?
I think i’m screwed big time. What do I do now?? Kindly help people. Mark I need your help badly man.
    Thanks in advance

  64. Aby says:

    A little help please.
I have installed one or two custom rom’s from your site here and everything runs on my cell just fine.
But, for some reason CM10 does not work on my cell. I downloaded and installed different it from different sites from the official source but that too reaches to ‘Android is upgrading’ and then ends up at the cyanogenmod booting animation again.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/ Go to this website, enter your device name at the top in the provided box. In the page that like ads up, click on original android development. CM10 is for 4.1 version of jellybean. CM10.1 for 4.2 version is out for HTC one x now. So find that thread in the forum and inside u will be able to find all you need to address your problem. But for starters, if you have executed fast boot command correctly, try wipe data and erase cache and dalvik cache in recovery and boot up again. It should work if you have done everything else correctly. Then try installing 10.1 once your phone is charged.
