Want a really great ROM with a ton of customizations and great battery life?

If so, I highly suggest you to check out LeeDroid ROM for your rooted HTC One X (only for international, sorry AT&T users).

The highlight of LeeDroid ROM is that it comes with the world famous LeeDroid Tweaks app, which allow you to tweak every bit of your Sense UI like the ability to customize your menu buttons, change carrier label, and even remove Sense altogether during install. It does come with Aroma graphical installer, which allows you to customize your ROM before it even runs (you can see the install video below to see all the options).

This is probably one of the best ROMs for your HTC One X so go ahead, give it couple days to try this ROM out, I think you will love it. And as always, don’t forget to leave your thoughts on how well this ROM runs for you!

        Hi Max,
        please read this with patience.
I’m a new user of android & I got HTC One X International Version as my first device.

So, I’m totally blank about “Rooting” & installing ROM’s.

        My key Questions are:

        1. Is HTC One X International Version Pre- rooted or I have to root it?
        2. How do I know, that a device has been rooted before?
        3. Will I be able to get the official updates from HTC once I install custom ROMs?

        Thanks A lot… PLz reply me 🙂

        • hrenic says:

          1. you have to root it
          2. you can download an app that checks if your phone is rooted (root check or smth similiar)
          3. yes you will

  5. Alexander Osae says:

HI MAX. I JUST INSTALLED THE LEEDROID ROM. THOUGH IT LOOKS COOL I HAVE BEEN HAVING A PROBLEM WITH ALL THE ROMS I HAVE TRIED SO FAR SO I EVEN DECIDED TO GO BACK TO STOCK ROM. THIS IS MY PROBLEM; AFTER THE INSTALLATION AND THE INITIAL BOOT IS DONE PREPARING THE SIM CARD AND ALL THAT IS DONE AND I GO THROUGH THE SETUP WIZARD, MY NETWORK SHOWS OK. BUT IMMEDIATELY AFTER REBOOTING MY HTC ONE X INTERNATIONAL VERSION, MY NETWORK DOESNT SHOW AGAIN. AND WEN I GO TO SETTING>>>MOBILE NETWORK AND EVEN TRY TO TURN IT ON, IT STILL DOESNT WORK. I JUST FACED THIS SAME PROBLEM AFTER I INSTALLED THE LEEDROID ROM. THEN I WENT INTO BOOTLOADER AGAIN TO WIPE THE TWO CACHES(DELVIK). NOW AFTER RESTARTING, MY NETWORK IS ON. WHAT MIGHT B THE PROBLEM???

    • Max says:

if its working now then I guess it’s working, that’s a first, it could just have been one of those random events in space…. Usually network either works or doesn’t, and usually you have to put APN to make it work. what might have happened is that your phone lost APN for some reason and automatically got it again on reboot.

  6. Lazardus says:

Hey Max where did you get that phone case?

  7. anthony says:

hey max i readed that this rom having bugs with the widgets of facebook and twitter and the battery is not hyper stable is that true and what are the bugs of this rom and which one is better this or AR hd v1.2.0??

    • Dan Walsh says:

There’s few bugs on this ROM. But comparing ARHD and this are basically personal preference. If you want a more customized feel, this ROM is better for you. If you want a more stock feel, than ARHD would be better.

  8. Servando says:

  9. steve says:

Hi max ,thanks for your vid on the installation of this Rom ,Its the first one I have installed and it was a lot easier than I thought,I tried to install the kernel,I run th windows bat file and the box comes up and disappears almosts straight away ,I have re-downloaded the zip about five times and same thing every time ,any ideas,a noon at all this ,Rom is running fine on my kernel but I have the bug and want to flash more, thanks again for your tutorial, cheers

    • Max says:

Make sure you unzipped all the files to one folder with sub directories in tact.

      • steve says:

Thank for the reply ,I am not sure what you mean by sub directories,I will read up about them when I get home from work,I have been downloading file unzipping it ,I get an ignore folder , linux ,Mac and windows bat file I double click the windows file ,the box opens up like on your vid and then it starts to run and goes away after about 3 secounds, just wondered if I had missed something or I needed anything else installed on my pc or phone, sorry if these are noob questions I’m new to this ,if you can think of anything I may have missed it would be much appreciated,as for the Rom I thought I was a bit buggy at first but I am into the second day and it has settled down now and I am glad I made the switch from stock ,this noob starting to get high on android ,thanks for your time

        • Max says:

Do you have another computer to try with? It could just be your unzipping program unzipping the files to the wrong place.

          • steve says:

No luck trying again tonite ,will try a new computer tomorrow, will let you know if successfull
            ,thanks again

            • steve says:

Tried on a new computer today and succeeded with kernel .it looks like my computer is getting a bit tired and old .thanks max ,I can’t put the phone down now guess I have found a new addiction.

      • _____homz says:

dude, i flashed the new kernel but when i checked the version im still using my old kernel before doing the process. Do i have to copy the two files to my htc internal storage or just the LeeDroid ROM?

  10. rolan says:

I installed by following your instruction.
Everything went well, only exception is I can’t open Google Play.
it is always connection time-out. However, I am able to open Internet then manually go to play.google.
Any idea how to fix it?

  18. CrescentScythe says:

Great ROM, really great in terms of battery life!! Plus it’s compatible with bricked Kernel which has sweep2wake function. which I think is Great and pretty useful, it decreases/lessens the stress on the power button.

  19. brother g says:

Hi, can you help me, I’ve tried to flash leedroid rom on my rooted one x and when I tried to re boot it, it’s stuck on HTC logo. I tried to do a recovery from my backed up rom and that did the same. I’ve tried fastboot erase cache (as per instructions), tried to recover from backup again and it is still stuck. Any ideas? Thanks brother g.

    • Max says:

did u use the install guide to install?

      • brother g says:

hi, yes I did but after I tried to flash the kernal the phone went into a re boot and is now stuck on it. I must have done something wrong because now, when I go into recovery with clockwork it’s unable to read any back up or anything fron the sd in the phone. It’s as if there is nothing there. Also when the phones pugged into the computer it does not show up. In a summary I can only open clockwork under fastboot recovery but that is it. Is ther anything I can do or is it just toast. Thanks.

  20. CrescentScythe says:

    • Ant says:

Hi, please help with my problem as i need sat nav working and this has knocked my network connection off, i have input the correct APn but still nothing. Thanks

      • Alexander Osae says:

TRY RESTARTING INTO BOOTLOADER>>>RECOVERY>>>WIPE CACHE>>>ADVANCED>>>WIPE DELVIK CACHE. REBOOT YOUR DEVICE. I USED TO FACE THE SAME PROBLEM AND THIS HELPED ME. SO I AM NOW BACK TO STOCK ROM BUT STILL ROOTED. HOPE IT HELPS YOU.
