Lookin’ for a good Jelly Bean ROM for your AT&T One X or One XL? Try the RebelMod Codename Jelly Bean ROM, which comes with fully AOSP (Android Open Source Project) ROM plus many enhancements to make your phone perform much faster than Sense-based ROMs.
Although we featured AOKP some time back, this RebelMod Codename Jelly Bean ROM is another AOKP/CM10 derivative, giving you lots of cool mods like LTE toggle button and more. Let me show you some of my favorite features on this RebelMod Codename.
In Settings->Interface, you will be able to do cool stuff like enable brightness by sliding across the notification bar (at the top of your screen). I find this feature very handy as often I walk into night clubs and want to dim my screen all the way down quickly. Also, it looks really cool to have “hidden” features on my phone.
By enabling “Kill All button” in Interface settings of Codename ROM, you can also kill all apps, very handy when you want to turn off your Pandora music quickly and everything else.
Also customizing your buttons is a breeze, make it do whatever you want. I know, you can do this in Sense ROMs also but do remember this ROM does offer additional soft keys if you want.
And the lockscreen? It’s beautiful, I’ve got my weather widgets and calendar widgets showing me the weather and what I gotta do for this whole week so I don’t have to open up my weather app or calendar app. You can also set up to 8 different shortcuts from the lockscreen.
Lastly but not least, you will also be able to get burst mode camera on this RebelMod Codename ROM. I admit it’s not as efficient as its half-brother Sense version but at least it does the job.
Overall, we are going to see more and more great AOKP ROMs popping up left and right unless HTC wants to step up and make Sense better and faster.
You will definitely see speed improvement on AOKP ROMs over Sense so if you haven’t made the switch yet, try out this ROM and let me know how it has changed your life!

To install ROM, reboot into recovery, do data wipe/factory reset, install ROM, install Gapps, then reboot into fastboot mode, flash boot image extracted from ROM zip file and reboot. That’s it!

Hi max i’m currently useing the RENOVATE 5.7.2 and must say it’s a mighty fine rom you shouldgive ut a Ho thanks for all the videos helped a great deal
it a go even* lol
Hi Max I have question. Over on Xda djrbliss found a root exploit for 2.20 on the HTC One XL (ATT) I was wondering(hoping) that you can do a tutorial on it. Thanks Max for all the hard you put in for Android!!!!
I am trying to install this, when im in TWRP, do i select both files at the same time (flash 2 files) or one at a time… totally confused (super noob!)
Hey Max, I just installed this ROM on my newly rooted and unlocked bootloaded HOX ATT on 2.20 and when I flash it and restore through Titanium Backup I get an error that says “process.android.acore has stopped working” and then I am unable to use SMS/MMS, Call, and sometimes Chrome. Any suggestion as to how to fix this? I cleared the cache, factory reset, and wiped the OS in TWRP recovery and re-flashed it, but the same problem occurred.
Thanks for all the awesome videos you put! I wouldn’t have a root without them!
Brendan
Dont restore system apps thats why its probably happening.
Hey man i just installed the rebel rom and when i boot up my newly unlocked one x it gets stuck on the nexus boot screen, what do i do
As soon as the back/home/recent apps buttons light up, wait ten seconds then hit the home button…same thing happened to me..otherwise reboot and repeat and it should work!
hey i just downloaded this rom a couple days ago and now i want to install the cm10 rom on this site, i downloaded the rom and g-apps when i flash the rom in twrp recovery the installation fail. also usb debugging is on. does anyone know how i can fix this?
ive already extracted the boot.img the instalation just aborts when im in twrp recovery
Does anyone also have battery life issues with this ROM? It seems like stock sense had better battery life for me. If so any way to fix it? Could I just charge my phone to 100% than go into twrp recovery and wipe battery stats?
I can’t figure out how to disable the “persistent search bar” or change the grid size… Could have sworn I could do that in this rom
I put the “gapps-jb-20120726-signed.zip” file and the “RebelMOD_Codename_Android_3.6.6_evita.zip” file into the “download” folder on my One X. Then in twrp i go into install and select downloads and install “gapps-jb-20120726-signed.zip” then go back to the main twrp menu and go into downloads and install the RebelMOD_Codename_Android_3.6.6_evita.zip”. But it does not boot. the colorful N is there but it sits there with the colors swirling around it. How would i successfully install this rom. Thanks for all the great help Max!
Ok it worked but now it doesn’t have Google Play. Is there any way i can get it?
*I FIXED IT THANKS EVERYONE !!!!!
Oh my god you people that dont know crap about what you are doing, why are you doing it??
Stop whining! all the answers are out there, use google for christs sake. He takes his free time to post his work for free and you are too lazy and stupid to read.
Saying youre a “super noob” is just you being a super pussy. You deserve a brick if youve got no more respect than that.
People come here for help… No need to be an asshole
Do you have an updated list of roms compatible with the AT&T Htc One X. I am currently running CM-10 nightly but wanted to know if ViperX is compatible also.
Did you have any troubles with a CyanogenMod boot loop?
Max, I was flashing the King Kobra1x rom but got stuck in a bootloop and some how my internal sd card got corrupted. Now I am left with a rom that does not work. I was able to format my sd card to fat32 which i believe is the correct format. Now when i plug my AT&T Htc One X into the computer and drag a .zip into the usb storage, in twrp recovery it does see it. How do i fix this and get my phone working again PLEASE?!
Interesting problem I can’t seem to resolve:
I’ve flashed this a couple times and can’t seem to get wi-fi or camera support.
Any ideas?
Thank you for the support you have here! I love my One X.

Hey Max, i always take recommendations from your website you are doing a great job. What I want to know is that will it be possible to install HTCSense completely or selected components on top of any AOKP or CM.
Check out Team Venoms Viper XL rom, they have a JB build with no tweaks, but their ICS one is great
I love the stock JB experience but Im used to lots of features HTCSense offers especially the camera and when I flashed CM 10 everything was fine except connecting to some WiFi hot spots. I was able to connect my phone at my home but it wont at work i tried to add the network manually and it didnt help either and it happened in different instances.
Device: HTC ONE XL
Recovery: TWRP
Rom: Viper XL for ICS
Hey Max, how to i suppose to set up mobile networks..cant find the way for that 🙁
This site has been abandoned…
What do you mean it has been abandoned?
Is there a way to edit the contacts in this ROM, having hard time to edit a contact, synced via vcard file from mac.
Please help!!!
